Light is growing dimmer
As the night begins to fall
Closer to the dusk
We do creep one and all

Sleep is moving in slow
As my energy is getting low
Slumber has called a time
And shows early signs

An eerie feeling takes full hold
Rumbles closer to my soul
Is this the eve of the dread I saw
Will I rise or will I stall

Deep into the slumber I'm Towed
And the darkness is thickly sowed
Pictures flash in my brain
The silence is broken by the sound of Rain

Something stirs me I look for more
A Figure stands at the door
I blink and he gets closer than before
Moving slower more and more

Terror rages and fear is so near
One more time he is beside my bed
Heavy weight upon my chest ignites fear
If he pushes any harder, I'll be dead
I push and scream the lord's name
Flee from my sight you evil thing
The demon looks around in fear
I can hear an angel sing

He is banished in full flight
No more is my plight
Heart is beating a rapid rate
Thankfully it's not too late

My lost breath soon returns
I know thing are alright
Nothing but darkness is everywhere
Only Emptiness of the night

Should I close my eyes again
Fore he may come back in
I have protection now I know
You will reap what you sow

Be careful how you sleep
Things can stir oh so deep
Say your prayers and sleep tight
Many things are hidden in the night
