Another summer day passes by,
Flew so fast, under the open sky.
Time used to stretch out long and wide,
Now each moment, a fleeting tide.
Just a little longer, a little more time,
Until the new year chimes,
Time used to fly, swift and sure,
Now it drags, how can we endure?
From morning to night, from night to dawn,
From day to day, from spring till fall's gone,
Time's like jelly in the fridge, so still,
Or melted under the sun, or frozen like ice at will.
Every tick of the clock, an echo of the past,
Every starlight's gleam, future shadows cast.
Seasons' cycle spins, a dizzying dance,
Time paints our lives, with each fleeting chance.
Just a little longer, a little more time,
Until the new year chimes,
Time used to fly, swift and sure,
Now it drags, how can we endure?
