As rotted green fades away, into a cloudy darkened day
Exquisite in desolation, this is our crippled kingdom
Lifeless as though it may seem
Within the dripping shadows
I know what it is that I've seen
Little time left now, that I can call mine
Beneath this endless harshness
There is a damp embrace in darkness
Broken means, Shadows rip through seams
Gravity pulls me away from the thing that I call me
Let's deconstruct the paradigm
Break down the walls that were built up by time
I watch the fire reflect in your eyes
As this world burns, darkness arrives
Vicious waves, sunlit days, swollen with carrion rays
Infesting future days
But in their greed they lose their grip
On several morsels
Leaving a cache for the scavengers that we have become
A world long lost, never to be found again
These person-shaped holes are all that remain of them
My eyes turn black
As they roll back
Fading with each passing day
Now barely a memory...
With every moment, we beg for strength, to stomach the next train wreck
To secretly dream it will be the last thing that we ever see
What is the point, to exist in this ocean of pain I drown in?
The hunter becomes the prey
And the prey becomes the slave
Little time left now, that I am still me
There is something above me
Controlling, that should not be
Not alone, but accompanying
A therianthropic stinging
Vicious waves, sunless days, destroyed by alien greys
Blackened skies, blinded eyes
The shades of black and grey in the sky
A juxtaposition of the sunlit day as it dies
