Jobhunting Sucks! Video (MV)

When you feel like you've been left behind
Your self confidence has all leaked
And you're trying to find any job that will pay
To end a 6 month losing streak

If only I'd trained as a vet
Or maybe a web architect
I could spend my days
Snipping nuts off cats
Or making a website that sells fancy hats

I've a BA in Music Technology
A Masters Composing for
Film & TV
I'm lamenting the fact
That I'm out of contract
And not banging out songs for Disney

I don't have the skills that you need
I don't have a Harvard Degree
Nor an MBA, or a PHD
I'm not even MHIC

I'm definitely not a SCRUM Master
Nor am I Agile or Lean
But I'm not really sure many people
Can actually say what they mean?

And so now I've come to a point
Where the odd mix of skills that I've gained
Are completely at odds with jobs that I need
To prevent me from going insane!

So if in your daily routine
You happen to stumble upon
A person who's looking for something unique
Like someone who writes dodgy songs

I'm not sure that person exists
I think that they're my unicorn
Dancing on rainbows and pooping out gold
And most likely playing the Lute or French Horn!

There's no reason to think that you'll find them
They're all in my head
I'll probably find that I'm dreaming
And lying in bed...

So I'm back where I first started out
My prospects are looking quite bleak
The process of sitting and writing this song
Is the perfect avoidance technique

So it's time that I got back to work
I need to rewrite my CV
Maybe, just maybe, who knows...
