I keep asking why I can't find myself on a map
Built to my design I was the architect
Everybody gave congratulations but I haven't a clue as to why
Monuments upon other monuments will only push me higher

So gather all my things
Construct the grand design
Make sure that no one ever knows about the things I hide
I need to know it's done before I disappear
Just get me to the front page for once in my career

Broken arrows in the quiver and a deprecating need to always finish last
I keep spillin' my guts to the ones who don't ask for that
Repeated through a different form or version of an altruistic song and cry
