Lately, been spending time evaluating my values
Tired of wasting on hours on how to make the crowd move
Displaying my talent started off as just an outlet
Used to be a healthy challenge 'til I cared about the outcome
Desperate for income, stressing a grip, son

Got some attention, thought that it meant

But they ain't give a sh!t about the late nights with writer's block
The fights with my lady while I struggled trying to find a job
Took a stab at hustling but I wasn't really built for that
Clientele wasn't big enough to distribute that
Dropped "Commencement," seemed the people was feeling that
Then I had to dip from my city in the midst of that
That's when I realized from wealthy down to welfare

Social networks defining our net worth
All this tweeting giving ignorance a lot of play
I minimize participation, gotta keep my private thoughts
Gotta guard against the infiltration like a firewall

Venting all your problems while Zuckerberg makes a profit
So many temptations all day we are facing
So many distractions disguised as relaxing
