When I wake up from dreaming
I stare at the ceiling
Until I'm ready for the day
I remember the days when I was feeling just fine on my own
Not dry to the bones all day
And now time goes so fast I can barely take in everything that's happening
So I lay back enjoy the air I breath in
Feels like it's paper thin
Got washed away too far cannot see the shore
Cannot feel anything else to the core
I hope everything resolves on its own before
Before I Wake Up
Before I Wake Up
Before I Wake Up
Leaving my old self behind
Disappearing as a tiny spec in the sky without fearing
The unknown, the distance
Can feel my persistence
It carries and powers me through all resistance
With changing tides keeping my head in the clouds
Then the next day in hell
Fills it back up with doubts
Right up to the brim
So I cannot swim and
Only give in
Got washed away too far cannot see the shore
Cannot feel anything else to the core
I hope everything resolves on its own before
Before I Wake Up
Before I Wake Up
Before I Wake Up
