Ayex - Freshman Lyrics

Ayex - Freshman Lyrics
Official

Help keep you safe when the stars align
What's a heartbeat worth, if a soul ain't living
Know a few friends that would never think to give it
Pain slips down the wrist, with a blade's mistakes
Drinking champagne with a little bit of heartbreak
Hope I make sense of my head or whatever
Calender slipping with all kinds of pressure
I pray for recovery, hold it together
This song's for anyone living life better
How's the outside, how's the sunshine, hello
My name is Ayex and everything's mellow
I'm drinking 'till my eyes are yellow
'Cause tipping the bottle is my pool of peace
Nobody listens and everyone speaks
Everyone offers and no one agrees
What will become of my life, am I free
Everything won't be okay, Eazy E
Listen up to what I have to say
I had depression in only 9th grade
Was a B student with F's in the books
I worked a lot but I hardly got paid
We were just talking and I fell in love
I had anxiety no one to trust
She was in hell so I gave her my hand
I wasn't careful and fell to the damned
No where to land, no plan to escape
Hid in my room where I sat in mistake
Tried a new smile that my friends knew was fake
Didn't do homework I cried in it's place
Freshman, need a fresh start, man down
Weed, lean, nicotine danced all around
And I gave way with a straight face, come Halloween
I was pushing the help that people offered me
I had thought of committing when I was 15
And I saw no light at the end of the tunnel
It wasn't funny, I'll never wish anyone to go through it
But the guns in my parent's safe, told me to do it
I went to school the next day
Late to class, I finished up on a test
Then I headed to the stairs, on a railing and I said a prayer
And I almost f*cking jumped, but I stopped there
To this day, I don't know how I'm still alive
Went home same night with a knife
And it took a long time, but I let that life go
So why do I still hate the path that I chose?
According to a study done by Blue Cross Blue Shield
Conducted from 2013 to 2016, there has been a 33% increase in diagnosees
More than 9 million insured Americans suffer from depression
What's a heartbeat worth, if a soul ain't living
Know a few friends that would never think to give it
Pain slips down the wrist, with a blade's mistakes
Drinking champagne with a little bit of heartbreak
Hope I make sense of my head or whatever
Calender slipping with all kinds of pressure
I pray for recovery, hold it together
This song's for anyone living life better
Help keep you safe, when the stars align
Hold on to me, pretty baby, baby
Help keep you safe, when the stars align
Hold onto me, pretty baby, baby
