Serendipity
Is there a Peace
She can take from me
Her legs were frozen pink as she rose from a
Tank full of ice-cold water
Olive beauty is the iris, unlike the
Ash and debris that surrounds her
With a thirst and nerr a leg to stand on, and her
Flowers, they too could stand to use some water
Yet I, in total eclipse draw a
Quenching hydro to my lips
After the bombs
She walks right towards me
On her hands
Begging for me to understand
Her green eyes are closed now
Halfway round the world
A wake with flowers, opening to a
Brand new day
Serendipity
Just for me
I'm sorry dear, I lost my job, but not
My sense of empathy
I'm sorry dear, I have no reign of power
No sphere of influence
I can't see, through the debris
How to get you out of this mess
But that's a pretty flower
Looks like it could use some water
Listen to my music, let's dance
Moonshadow proud
F-bombs hit hard, thinking out loud
I wish it was under different circumstance
I would spend the day with you, hold your hand
I could help you see, that
Your flower, really could use some water
Ice cold water
