Now today
I find myself
Far away
From where I called my home
Oftentimes
I stay inside
Just remembering
And forgetting all
About the my changing life
As a walk
Through a garden
I think
Of the cypress trees at home
And I'm feeling
The north breeze
When that southern sun
Is all I've come to know
All this missing
Of my homeland
Got me missing
All the treasures now my own
Well I remember
That Florida coastline
Used to call me
Most every day
And I think
About the mountains
How they speak to me
In a brand new foreign way
