My lips all dry with cracks, some foggy memories
That I had had about my life last night
I excavated every inch of cabinetry
To find a glass, a drink of water I might
But steppin' outside, one shoe gone, couldn't find the other one
I wouldn't wink toward the neighbors or their rotten prick of a son
Instead I'd find my way down A street
Draggin' all of the weight down in my feet
I gotta lotta carpet burn on my knees
I'm gonna take good care of the radio
Like a lost little lamb that the shepherds left out at last light
And hopefully he will come find me
And together we'll cure our sins, and break our hands to make up for this
I just wanna look up toward the bright lights
And see a nice big smile shinin' down on me
And quicker did my footsteps make the flight
To the great, big, giant chapel on the end of A street
And up to the door they ushered me
Put on your Sunday best, give your whole damn check to them
You went out last night drinkin', you know what's to come yet
Waddle up through the pews, kneel just like you were taught to
And pray to the matriarch, his God comes through with news, he says
"The once holy light within you is ready to become dim
Dance and pray all you want to, cuz nothing can clean your skin"
So when I know that I am done
I take a drink of the wine
Eat a part of his body
And vomit all across the f*ckin' line that's right I
Let my bile and booze all loose in this holy time
