If you could see the way the sun looks at the clouds part when the day is gloom
The way young kids look at the stars like it's next door neighbors with the moon
No worries about the past, days too far, or ones coming soon
Seeing what's right in front of their eyes, hidden in plain sight, not wandering around the room
But since we can't all be kids observing how the moon lays with the stars
Fear lies in our void of knowledge, as if it were locked behind bars
Like we don't understand that our dreams ain't so far, no further than Jupiter or Mars
And yeah today that might seem distant, but it'll be closer tomorrow
