Grateful Dead will be honored as the 2025 MusiCares Persons of the Year with an all-star tribute concert during Grammys week,
featuring performances from
Dead & Company,
John Mayer,
Vampire Weekend,
Billy Strings,
My Morning Jacket,
The War on Drugs,
Dave Matthews and
Bruce Hornsby.
Set to take place on Friday, January 31st at the Los Angeles Convention Center, the concert will also feature Norah Jones, Maren Morris, Noah Kahan, Sierra Ferrell, Lukas Nelson, Dwight Yoakam, Sammy Hagar and Wynonna Judd.
Noted Grateful Dead super fan Andy Cohen will MC the event, while comedian Bert Kreischer will serve as the presenter.
The MusicCares Persons of the Year award recognizes the band’s contributions to music as well as their philanthropic efforts and activism. This year’s event will double as a fundraiser for Los Angeles wildfire relief.
