I wonder at the bank
Every time that I stand in the line
What's really going on back in the safe
Is there a void in my life something else replaced
Like my television streaming flatness
With the tedium of scrolling netflix
And my cellphones on another endless call
This feed never ends that's all
Crushed ambitions
From the competition for the
Cravings that we feel
And appetites are never satisfied
Until we overdose this feels
Like obsolescence
Robot souls play tic tac toe
Nintendo iphone
You don't have to be alone
But while you were at work
Giving likes to the junk shop
Surreptitiously technology stole your job
Mark Zuckerburg knows you better than your own mother
Uber knows where you hide with your secret lover
The big G knows Where you been where you're going
Who's your friends who's your most likely trouble
Yeah you sit back and let the algorithm dance
It's a lot easier than making your own plans
I tell you what this is an abortion of freedom
But since we want convenience it's going to be hard to beat them
Crushed ambition
From the competition for the
Cravings that we feel
And appetites are never satisfied
Until we overdose this feels
Like obsolescence
I know there's a reason
For the day break
For the miles we put on our lives
I know you believe it
Oh be honest
Universally we provide
I know there's a reason
For the toil
For the turbulence in your mind
I know there's a reason
And we must not bow out now
Crushed ambitions
From the competition for the
Cravings that we feel
And appetites are never satisfied
Until we overdose this feels
Like obsolescence
Like obsolescence
Like obsolescence
Like obsolescence
Like obsolescence
Like obsolescence
Like obsolescence
