We lost our minds forgot the time
Gave up the ghost made up some rhymes
We found ourselves outside at night
A vibrant sight in the moonlight
We lost our minds forgot their lies
Took off those masks made us some love
Found ourselves looking above
A masterpiece in the moonlight
Yeah, it's many metaphors for medicine
I think this world is better for our presence in it
It's hard to tell or find the evidence, I know
But we don't need a king or president
Reality is soft and we can mess with it
The galaxy is drawn together effortlessly
I can't say exactly where our efforts will lead
But I believe we are celestial beings
Don't shoot the messenger please
Don't shoot at kids in the schools
All these political beefs and fools
Missing the jewels of now
We'll be cool someday, someway, somehow
Sometimes we all just need to play
And be seen or be held or be loved on
The planets lined up in the stars, got they buzz on
My sister finally trust god to give her a love song
I hope it becomes strong
We lost our minds forgot the time
Gave up the ghost made up some rhymes
We found ourselves outside at night
A vibrant sight in the moonlight
We lost our minds forgot their lies
Took off those masks made us some love
Found ourselves looking above
A masterpiece in the moonlight
The fish jumping, the star shooting, a wish coming
It's our duty to live luminous, light up the dim
With music, stories, and when we feel stuck to release
It's enough to just be, who you are is a peach
We met up at the beach to see if something was sweet
It was a mystery once or twice I guess it repeats
Every day becomes night, every road cannot be chosen
No, we have to learn to discern what is glowing
And walk the path of the stars despite the shadows and scars
From battles and hardships that rattled our hearts
Just let go and let yourself grow
Reach for the light inside of your soul
Outside at night when the stars show
You just who you are
Beautiful and scarred, maybe
But love's never far away you'll see
We lost our minds forgot the time
Gave up the ghost made up some rhymes
We found ourselves outside at night
A vibrant sight in the moonlight
We lost our minds forgot their lies
Took off those masks made us some love
Found ourselves looking above
A masterpiece in the moonlight
Mom, you know I miss you when the sun is out
Hope you're proud of what your son's about
I know you see I live a little differently
It's just the life I always sung about
I make my ways, can't always give the play-by-plays
That make sense to those around me
But I ain't lazy and this family that you gave me keeps me grounded
They keep me laughing, keep me swimming in the sound
Did you ever wonder what we come here for
I call on the force when my brain gets sore
From holding so much, holding so much
This golden touch when you hear it
You know that it's us, know that it's love
These poems go down when I focus and trust
Don't pay no mind to the broken corrupt
Control Systems, soul prisons, that's old stuff
This life's too short I'm just soaking it up
We lost our minds, forgot the time
Gave up the ghost, made up some rhymes
Found ourselves outside at night
A vibrant sight in the moonlight
We lost our minds forgot their lies
Took off these masks made us some love
Found ourselves looking above
A masterpiece in the moonlight
