Well I remember my first Colorado Christmas
I moved here in Summer ninety-three
I felt all alone in that first Christmas season
But I pulled-out and put-up the tree
The decorations they were all so familiar
A plastic Santa that makes a sound
That's when I looked up and I saw out the window
All the snowflakes drifting to the ground
Oh it's Christmas, in Colorado
With a roaring fire
Or playing in the snow
It's Christmas, in Colorado
The special times
With people that you know
Oh It's Christmas
In Colorado
Well on my second true Colorado Christmas
There were 18 inches of snow upon the ground
The only company was that little plastic Santa
'Cause only a snowplow could get around
By my third true Colorado Christmas
My plans finally came to be
There was snow gently falling from the sky
But this time with friends and family
Whether Telluride or Sterling, Denver to Colorado Springs
There's something truly special about the holidays in this place
Oh it's Christmas, in Colorado
With a roaring fire
Or playing in the snow
It's Christmas, in Colorado
The special times
With people that you know
Oh It's Christmas
In Colorado
