Went to the optometrist office
Was feeling kind of nauseous
I wasn't trying to be obvious
Still cautious about naughty things in my head

She sat me down behind the magnifying glasses
My wife is probably gonna wanna blast my ass for this
With my eyes magnified, realized
The doc had a nice ass
European accent, telling me about the anatomy of an eye
Don't know if I cared what her facts meant
I enjoyed that time we spent, in that room
She handed me a card, asked me to read the words and letters for her
My vision was getting blurrier, like a stoner
You'd probably wanna phone her
If my wife find out, she probably gon wanna put me in a coroner
I have so many secrets, gotta keep it, or end up a freaking loner

Cant look at the skies
Fog in my eyes
Mistook those for hairlines

Trouble with bright lights
Docs said u going blind
Vision's declining
Had this for a long time
Couldn't concentrate
Cognition was declining
Eyes needed refining
If you just realize
My Right eye's serialized
That eye's now genuine

It was back at 29 I thought it was a hairline stuck in my eye
Asked my wife to blow inside
She categorized Me as a sinner
That night during dinner with bad eyesight
She said it was karma for stuff I was hiding
My appointment was in the morning at 9
Before anyone could advise
The doc said I had to go closer to blind
I never thought I would reach this point in life
Surgery was pointless that I still have to wear glasses
Lessened my chances
At least I can stare at asses through fashion
No more wearing eye patches
Bye bye 20/20 vision
My body is slowly starting to pay taxes
I don't like that status
Acrylic eye; that's classic

In 2017 I went to get my eyes checked
Doc said it looked like someone took a paint brush and painted over that shit
Scheduled me for surgery, but it wasn't p-r-k or lasik
Discovered this since being stationed
In 29, now I'm 39, almost went blind; in one eye
And I wanted to cry about losing vision and surroundings
My cognition was bad and declined; you know it's still a fight at times
I should have listened to my grandpa when he wrote that letter to me from pi
To quit boxing, but I wouldn't listen
I should have paid attention, all the negatives of the sport he mentioned
So I deserve this
