Church Sherwood - My Testament Lyrics

Ya, Realist thing I ever Wrote

It My Testament the 2018 chapter
The name DJ Church, another unknown rapper
Wit all these emotions, clutched up in my nap-sack
Watch'n my people rise and fall, like the Nasdaq
We got some real wars, and they right here at home son
War 1, our young ones, run'n the block wit loaded guns
All because no daddy's at home, to raise they son's
Man Up! or Glove Up, or Catch some more re-runs
And here we go again, bomb'n over seas
And given a blind eye, to the war up on our streets
And some think "Let them kill each other" then we'll find peace
But history repeats it self, the beef, increases the deceased
We need some knew plans, up in our newsstands
To stop all this nuisance, from all of dis pollution
Never no change, if the same things, keep do'n
More cats that slang cain and more lives get ruined

No daddys, so Boys ta Men, raised by lady's
And much props ta dem ladies raise'n dem babies
But this cause's our men, to act like ladies since the 80s
Being lead by they emotions, this is why they act'n crazy
Lets talk science, we is made to be logical based
Something that is encoded, deep down in our DNA
But not Many-Men, here, ta teach our men today
The ones that's left here, teach'm bout gun-play
Its that gutter bang-bang, ride for your set or block
The cats that be teach'n this, seek out our young hard-knocks
They give'm the Glock, and some rocks, and say go make some gwap
They need the young ones, to do they dirt, so they don't get popped
Its called hood logic, but what we teach'n is toxic
Men is to rule over they emotions not this
Let'n all of they emotion out wit the flick of yo wrist
They could be our next Doctors, Dentists or Advocates

That's why I stay up in the trap, to show a different way of liven
Jesus, Defeated the Grave, ta free us from the prison
Son of Man, can show ya how to be a man, and be forgiven
I'm on a mission, proclaiming the risen, ta all the villains
An we know, about the media, and its influence
Yet we eat it up, then the merge, talking confluence
We hear bling-bling, murder, Codeine, check my inference
And how the next generation go'n be? There's no Difference
Don't get me twisted, for 30 years, I was liven this
But when I heard my Nephews, sing my putrid spit, I got sick
One of my motivations for change, but there is much more to dis
Like my wife turn'n tricks, when she was raised a suburban chick
I'm a grown man, I'm responsible, those are my creations
I opened my eyes, and saw, that I was don the work of Satin
I saw things differently, look'n at our next generation
Its like Betty Crocker, watch'n the next cake, that we is bake'n

I got this fire, shut up, in my bone, I gotta lose it
They say that boy still Dennis the Menace, cause I'm a nuisance
Why? cause I push clean air? you push pollution
I see the game plan, bang bang, no solution
Our math is messed, traid'n product, for tummy tucks
We make a couple buck, risking get'n shot in guts
All because the old head, that really didn't love us enough
Instead of tuff love, they taught us to double dutch
Its that knuckle up, ride or die, till the sun come up
Trap or die, homicide, set through'n up
But where our kids at, and we say that we grown up
But tell me dis, how can ya buy gat, but ya can't buy a sippy cup
When you grown man, in this life, it ain't about you
Its about the ones you love, so you do what it do
Now that don't mean you hit the block, and bust that stick and move
That might mean minimum wage, up at the drive through

If ya want something, ya gotta go, an put in that labor
Hard work and dedication, equates to make'n that paper
Set some goals, go for'm, and don't do it latter
Things that I teach my daughters, so they can go, and be greater
Now Im sent by God, to Proclaim Jesus, ta Babylon
The path I'm on, addressing problems, through these beats and songs
To a generation, that could care less, about this path I'm on
Gotta get it on, and lead'm home, as long as it is dawn
Cause the night is come'n, the devil gun'n, not front'n nut'n
An the Savior come'n, no run'n, gonna save you from that oven
Like Bobby Hutton, I want some change, but I gotta do Somethin
I'm another person talking change, but they ain't hear'n nut'n
