From the dawn of time
Man committed crime
Territory he builds
Slaying all, no guilt
A bloody machete in hand
Marching into their land
Civilisation corrupted
Harmony, peace disrupted
Animalistic behaviour
Fulltime fellow man-hater
Is this what we amount to?
No higher goal to climb to?
Do we use free will
To forge ahead and kill?
Eager to cut in life
With the sharpest knife
No respect for man
Murder when he can
Bullets cut the air,
Sowing total despair
Mother loses a child
Bodies on top are piled
Hunger strikes again
You'll die, just where and when?
Is this what we amount to?
No higher goal to climb to?
Do we use free will
To forge ahead and kill?
Homeland must enlarge
So forwards he will charge
The ultimate goal to win
Never will he give in
Gun clenched in his hands
This is what war demands
A bullet pierces his chest
His organs it molests
Little time remains
Before blood leaves his veins
Is this what we amount to?
No higher goal to climb to?
Do we use free will
To forge ahead and kill?
At the end of war
We cannot keep the score
Thousands of sacrifices
For lack of compromises
Surely we'll hit a wall
Highway to hell, last call!
The thirst for blood is real
Mankind's faith is sealed
The sword stabs to the hilt
Innocence swiftly killed
Is this what we amount to?
No higher goal to climb to?
Do we use free will
To forge ahead and kill
