But lately, it don't feel that way to me.
I see Congress folks just sellin' out,
To the highest bidder, there ain't no doubt.

While the workin' folks just barely sleep.

They talk about choice and democracy,
But pickin' our leaders ain't up to you or me.
They push their puppets and play their part,
While the will of the people just falls apart.

But they ain't been on the people's side.
