I was dreaming
I was jumping
Out of joy at the thought of this good old world
In the streets
Of every city
Everyone seemed prone to talk to each other
It may sound stupid to say it
But I'm not sure
I've ever had this dream
All the divisive lines, they were scraped
There was no more black and white
Or left and right
And the ties that connect people
Had become what mattered most
In their lives
It may seem foolish to say it
But I'm not sure
I've ever had such a dream
Cold was the night
Hot was the day
As I'm thinking of yesterday
Eveything seemed much simpler than now
Unless it's just a trick of the time
That distorts my mind
It may sound stupid to say it
But I'm not sure
I've ever had such a dream
I was fancying
Something unreal
But if you try to close your eyes tight
In the end you may see life as a dream
