I dreamt this giant boat
In the midst of raging seas
This life we call this world
A place we cannot be
That heavy piece of metal
Frayed by its thankless chore
You claimed that it was fate
As I am forced to clean its core
It was then we smelled afoul
These freshly rotted eggs
Like when mother called us out
With my severely broken legs
'I see, I see' you mused
'That minty greenish branch'
'So come with me as I build
Your long awaited fence'
You shone a light into my eyes
For fear I'd truly see
But He's shifted my perspective
To that shore of victory
Why, oh, why cannot I see
Past your sun drenched eyes?
My perspective still bequeathed
From thy blazing light despised
Fail me, oh not, my will
Lest I succumb again to fate
Where my perspective still remains
In the sinking sands of hate
