You saw broken humanity
And so You sent Your Son
To redeem the souls of men and to
Take back what evil'd won
He came to earth a baby
And He grew into a man
And the sinless life He'd led prepared Him
For His mighty stand
And when He stood before the crowd
Beaten and despised
It was then, when Satan thought he'd won
That Jesus raised His eyes, and He saw,
Calvary, Calvary
The blood of the Saviour there was shed for me
Calvary, oh Calvary
The lamb of God has died to set me free
On Calvary
They whipped Him and they beat Him
But like flint He set His face
As He chose to see His mission through
And to bear shame and disgrace
They laid Him on a cruel cross
And drove the nails home
In excruciating pain He'd never
Felt so all alone
And when Jesus yielded up His life
And cried out, it is done
Satan thought that he had triumphed
But the Son of God had won, on
Calvary, Calvary
The blood of the Saviour there was shed for me
Calvary, oh Calvary
The lamb of God has died to set me free
On Calvary
Three days of darkness in a tomb He laid
As all creation held its breath
The resurrected Jesus Christ exploded from the tomb
Coz the lamb of God had conquered sin and death
He's Alive
Calvary, Calvary
The blood of the Saviour there was shed for me
Calvary, oh Calvary
His sacrificial love has set me free
On Calvary
