Just another of those empty promises
Those that will be done the day after tomorrow
For years now this has been the endless theme
Been on repeat so long all I want to do is scream

The answer you trot out is always the same
It's on my list for the day after tomorrow
I feel like one of those lost souls in the city
Those same ones who demand our pity

I don't know where we are going
If it's in the same direction or drifting apart
My desperation doesn't seem to get through
Nothing I say seems to register with you

Something needs to change and quickly
Before I lose all my balance and control

For my sanity and state of mind
It's time we drew a line and agreed to part
