ORDINARY MEN (Acts 4:13)
He told stories on the banks of Galilee
To simple fishermen He said "follow me"
With tales of wisdom and eternity
They were ordinary men, just like you and me
When they were told to pray, they fell asleep
They were frightened to death when He calmed the sea
Yet they followed him wherever He did lead
They were ordinary men, just like you and me
They stood and watched as He was kissed in Gethsemane
They denied they knew Him to the Pharisees
They turned their backs when He was nailed to a tree
They were ordinary men, just like you and me
When He rose from death, they shouted with glee
They spread the good news cross the seven seas
They suffered at the hands of those who did not believe
They were ordinary men, just like you and me
