We live in a world divided
Down we go
Ask me what I think about it
I won't know
We can't shake this fear inside us
It takes hold
We posture as unaffected
But it shows
The lies we tell ourselves
Convince us that what we do
Is just and true
Impervious to ridicule
That's not always so true
We all have different views
Some pure, some skewed
It's all relative
We can sit back and pretend for awhile
Forget what we know and put on a smile
No dissent, no dispute
Just existing within the same space
