(I Was) A Really Cool Eight Year Old Video (MV)

Man, I was cool when I was like eight years old
I'm sitting here looking at these old photos of me
And I have to say, my level of coolness was well above average
Like, when I look at that picture of me next to Mike
He's clearly less cool. It's true
Mike was trying too hard
But I looked like I wasn't trying hard at all

Yet still came across confident
My hair was perfect and I knew which sports teams clothes were in style
I had the best halloween costumes. I made the teachers smile
I had a great collection of hats. I listened to all the best bands
And as an eight year old I was still somehow on top of fashion trends
The threads that I put on ended up on TV and in movies
If my clothes fit me now they would still hold up
Because my eight years of fashion sense was timeless
Everyone found me mysterious
I answered every question with another question
It was confusing. But everyone loved it

And my homework was top notch stuff. A plus plus
It's surprising that I didn't end up a brain surgeon or an architect or both
Because 8 year old me was beyond intelligent and trendy at the same time
I should let you read some of it, really, it's gold
Yeah, I was just unbelievably cool at around 8 or 9 years old
