I am a mercenary in the year 1350
I own very little swords, however I used one for a time
The blade of the sword shimmered, despite being clad in blood
I cradled the hilt in my dominant hand, being warm from use
The sword was exactly what I needed, reliable and lightweight
Right there when I needed it
My fellow peers gazed upon the sword, elated by my find
When the sword eventually failed to perform its duties and broke
All I could think about was the sword
Its glimmer, its shine
Never again would I find such a blade
