Camille Saint-Saëns, a composer from France
Loved all creatures from dinosaurs to ants
And he also loved music, so he put paper to pen
To honour the animals from the lion to the hen
One of his finest works, it was nearly undone
For he almost didn't publish it; he wrote it for fun
But published it was, and I'm glad that he did
For it inspired me to compose when I was a kid
I was given the suite on tape by my mom
And was changed by the orchestra who played with aplomb
And though it is true that Camille borrowed from others
So have I borrowed from what I learned from my mother
And now I will share with you a fusion of styles
Electroclassical compositions that beguile
