Drifting through the endless sea
Stones unbroken, stones we'll be
Like the bird that freely roams
In the evening returns home
Light the night sky, leaving me
Stars are burning in the east
Years before their lights retreat
As the twigs bend, so the tree
So we go on sowing seeds
While the king and field hand sleep and share their lonesome dreams
Burn the arrow, blessed be
Soup from stone or sword from sheath
Though hard words may break no bones
Leave their imprints on our souls
Light the night sky, leaving me
Drifting through the endless night
You're the spark that burns most bright
As the sand sinks through the glass
You must know this too shall pass
And the fox and field mouse rise and share the dew-kissed grass
