Dirty Needles & Kollectiv - Work Lyrics

I'm spending every single f*cking hour writing in the basement
Going over creative punchlines and dope cadences
Seeing what I can make of it and if it's mediocre I'm erasing it
The mind of a writer never complacent
My pen is a tsunami bodying beats is a hobby
If a rapper talking sloppy, I'll fold him like origami
Acknowledge me as possibly one of the best to do it
This is more than music I am writing a movement
I'm galvanizing the youth through the metronome
And if I miss the target, at least I'm hitting close to home
They think I'm only on some rappity rap shit
They said I need to throw some more swag in my adlibs
They claim that what I say is going over their head
Like Sara Jay's leg when she's getting pounded in the bed
But, I'm more than just a rapper I'm a vessel of hope
And I pouring myself in every single word that I wrote

All I do is put in work all I do is go berserk
All I do is push a pencil till my f*cking hand hurts
All I do is give 100 and I go beyond the limit
And I didn't come to lose I'm a motherf*cking winner
All I do is put in work
All I do is put in work
All I do is put in work

I'm doing music for the love of the art
And I didn't come for the cash I wanna capture your heart
And I'm daydreaming in deep thought
Thinking about the time I wanted to restart...
My whole journey
That was foolish of me for thinking that I could be
Something different than destiny provided I was kind of naïve
I was yearning for a past that wouldn't haunt me
Then I noticed that's what molded me into a top-notch emcee
This is the reason why I keep a pen moving
Maneuvering through these blue lines and I'm improving...
With every waking moment see I'm growing as a poet
And my hope is that my composition would rival Beethoven
See, I'm shooting for a galaxy that's beyond rap
I got love for Trap
But, I ain't on that
I'm Chef Gordon when it comes to recording
I'm serving up that Soul Food Flow audio nourishment

All I do is put in work all I do is go berserk
All I do is push a pencil till my f*cking hand hurts
All I do is give 100 and I go beyond the limit
And I didn't come to lose I'm a motherf*cking winner
All I do is put in work
All I do is put in work
All I do is put in work

It was written for me to be victorious
And I'm a kick the door off the hinge word to Notorious, no more ignoring us
I write for all the people that yearn for lyricism
Everybody can hear it, but few choose to listen
Now the game is ran by these pseudo hipsters
Who didn't know the culture and yet they're trying to convince us
That taking pride in honing your craft isn't commendable
You use a multi-syllable, chances are they're condemning you
Saying some shit about being a lyricist is boring
And they wonder why we say the rap game isn't rewarding
Half of the time I'll craft an internal rhyme
That'll bind like a knot tied and you'll look at me like it's alright
Man, please I had enough of this foolery
I refuse to coon it up and perpetuate buffoonery
If real is recognized, then I admit you look new to me
Only rapper you know that wouldn't tuck in his jewelry

All I do is put in work
All I do is put in work
All I do is put in work
