Beneath moonlight on a starlit night
Amongst the snowy trees
Alone and lost in the bitter frost
And the biting winter breeze
The northern lights overhead
They ease the rising fear and dread
As shadows loom in the woods behind
And hover on the wind
They overthrow the blue-green glow
The stars are swept away
A thick white haze obscures the maze
And keeps the moon at bay
The figures reach as tree limbs screech
The forest is awake
In the misery I could barely see
The dawn begin to break
What morning brings, the cosmos sings
And fire rains down in blazing rings
On ashen snow, the violent glow
Of burning embers far below
The radiant rays drive the mist away
As blood-red overtakes the gray
The shadows scream in the golden gleam
And vanish from this waking dream
What morning brings, the galaxy sings
And fire rains down in blazing rings
On ashen snow, the violent glow
Of burning embers far below
The radiant rays drive the mist away
As blood-red overtakes the gray
Now cloaked in dawn, I must press on
