The tide made me return from the black
The storm in my head sings with ire
The trenched hair brings it all back
I slowly become as one with this mire
Life slowly flooded my bone marrow
Like the swell from this raging sea
The scent of my tears smells of yarrow
I wish I could dismiss my eternal plea
This is the awakening
The memories are frightening
This is the day of reckoning
I will meet it with a welcoming
The freezing moon sends down it's beams
The shadows in my mind are pale and dim
The silhouettes of the ridge are not as they seem
This darkness and emptiness is so harsh and grim
Figures flashing before my eyes
The lost feelings makes me cry
Deep voice groaning ends with a sigh
My lord! Why, oh why?
This is the awakening
The memories are frightening
This is the day of reckoning
I will meet it with a welcoming
