Forego what can't serve fire anymore
Just let me sleep
With turmoil underneath
A kick in a hive stirs ash in the urn

A body to bequeath
Helix of time now has to spin away
Put a foot in between
The hurricane and the mountain side
Do you see the primeval water freeze?

Screaming and dry eyes fled aimlessly
I can no longer pose as the broken piece
Nor pursue a ship across the steepest weir
Even as it's falling
I want to break the walls inside us all
Because I'm unable to build a wall of my own

Calling to all
Demons, the big but neutral beasts
Spreading antlers out of shadow realms
As every creature needs an outlet
I, the ego, have led them here
And shaken their reins off
Conscious conch, pullover to selfish soul

Naive by design, we keep close to heart
A golden chest, that when opened a crack
Reveals a pair of lungs choking aghast
A pang in the back, however strong
Just won't help, just won't help

Pain ceases to matter
Momentum happens and dies out
Leaves permanent marks on the eye's iris
And the mantra ringing in my ears
The child's blue eyes go mad with the white blood cells
Till they become all drab

And a brain condemned to repeat this process
Now the brittle consciousness is all we've left
The double edged reward for short-term death.
