Yo, it's time to give, it's time to rise
Shekel in my hand, Torah in my eyes
Parashat Teroema, listen close
A command from God that we all must know
God said"Bring me an offering
Gold, silver, and all that you're collecting
But the shekel is the one for every soul
To give it for the Temple, that's the goal"
From every man, a half shekel to pay
For the upkeep of the holy way
No one too rich, no one too poor
Equal before God, we give for His door
Shekel to the Temple, that's what we give
For God's dwelling, the place we live
Each one united, each one strong
With God in the heart, we all belong
Take a look, the shekel is a symbol
A reminder of our duty, that's so simple
To sustain the holy place
And stand in awe before His face
It's not about the wealth that you bring
But the heart and the intention, that's the thing
God's blueprint, His holy design
We follow His path, we align
No shortcuts, no compromise
The shekel is the truth, no disguise
One community, one love for the Divine
With faith in our hearts, we're ready to shine
Shekel to the Temple, that's what we give
For God's dwelling, the place we live
Each one united, each one strong
With God in the heart, we all belong
From generation to generation
The command remains, a foundation
Teroema's call is crystal clear
Give to the Temple, draw near
This isn't just a history lesson
It's a call to action, no second guessin
When we give, we elevate the soul
With every shekel, we make the Temple whole
For the altar, for the service
For the kohanim, let's be of service
Teroema teaches, it's not about me
But the bigger picture, God's unity
Shekel to the Temple, that's what we give
For God's dwelling, the place we live
Each one united, each one strong
With God in the heart, we all belong
So let's keep it Torah true
Living each mitzvah, in all we do
Shekel in hand, we honor the call
For the glory of God, we give our all.
