Everyday ABCs - Hungry Hippos Lyrics

Everyday ABCs - Hungry Hippos Lyrics

Here at the everyday ABCs we pick a new topic
And we hit the streets
We gonna sing about hippos today
Come on over let's learn and play
You better get ready to belly laugh
We're diving in-let's start the hippo path

I'm big I'm round I'm oh-so-wide
I've got a big ole belly you just can't hide
Third heaviest land animal yeah it's true
No one's as chonky as a hippo crew

I've got a big ole butt it's wide and round
The biggest backside that you've ever found
It helps me swim it helps me sit
Let's be real-it's too legit to quit

I live in the rivers I splash and play
In Africa's waters where I spend my day
Swamps and lakes are my favorite spot
I stay cool in the water when the sun gets hot

I'm a hungry hippo I love to eat
But you won't find me hunting for meat
I munch on grass about 80 pounds a day
Chomping each night while I make my way

Here's a fun fact to make you smile
I can hold my breath for a real long while
Though I look so chill I can move real fast
Better watch out if I'm charging past

I'm big I'm round I'm oh-so-wide
I've got a belly you just can't hide
The third heaviest land animal yeah it's true
No one's as chonky as a hippo crew

A hippo mom waits for eight long months
Her baby's born in the water at once
A little calf swims and sticks by her side
Learning to live with the river as its guide

I may look cute but I'm strong and brave
I guard my turf in the water I crave
With a loud big roar and a splashy spin
I let the world know where my home has been

So now you know from A to Z
Hippos are as happy as they can be
Big and funny we're hard to miss
Give a hippo a wave-not a big ole kiss

Thanks for learning about Hippos today
Like and subscribe and we will be on our way
Next time more fun and a new animal
Don't be a stranger and stay in school
