Once I roamed a child of light
Through fleeting days and endless night
But soon the vast could not contain
So I sought a path through unknown plain
Though guilt may not be yours to bear
Fate will strike; it does not care
Today I wander through doubt's great sea
Come walk this shadowed path with me
My breath expands; my eyes turn grey
The waves are near-I shy away
Each night my gills in silence rise
Drawing breath from starlit skies
In stillness deep my soul takes flight
It claws through dark it shuns the light
Like a moth it finds a fleeting flame
And feeds on forms without a name
Though guilt may not be yours to bear
Fate will strike; it does not care
Today I wander through doubt's great sea
Come walk this shadowed path with me
My breath expands; my eyes turn grey
The waves are near-I shy away
Each night my gills in silence rise
Drawing breath from starlit skies
In stillness deep my soul takes flight
It claws through dark it shuns the light
Like a moth it finds a fleeting flame
And feeds on forms without a name
Though guilt may not be yours to bear
Fate will strike; it does not care
Today I wander through doubt's great sea
Come walk this shadowed path with me
My breath expands; my eyes turn grey
The waves are near-I shy away
Each night my gills in silence rise
Drawing breath from starlit skies
