A shiny train set on the floor, a dollhouse with a tiny door
Bright red bikes and teddy bears, wrapped with ribbons showing care
But as the laughter fills the air, there's something missing that I'm now aware
Woolen scarves and knitted hats, a cozy sweater, a baseball bat
Games and gadgets, books and more, piled so high, gifts galore
Yet in the glow of all these things, I feel the ache that absence brings
Where's the faith to light the way through the darkest winter day
Where's the hope to lift us high when we see no reason why
And where's the love that warms the soul, the missing piece that makes us whole
These gifts we treasure, fine and bright, won't fill the heart, won't chase the night
The greatest gifts come from above, faith and hope and endless love
Oh, Santa's sleigh can bring delight, with toys and trinkets through the night
But the best gift came to us all, in Christ who fills the empty call
Faith, hope and love, the treasure's true
This Christmas, they'll carry me and you and you
Thanks for watching!
