Summer heat, my back sticks to the seat, 30 degrees, and I'm stuck in the traffic.
Will I make it to the end of my street before my car starts spitting and stalling.
I get out, outta my seat I stand up and get second degree burns on my feet.
One last sip from my drink and I think I'm about to over, over heat.
Oh and I, I take my time in a race.
Oh and I, I take my time in a race.
Well the sun's in my face and to tell you the truth, I think we'll make it, make it through.
Then the smoke fills my eyes and I can hear all the cries pouring from the back seat, ringing out loud and true.
I check beneath the hood, tighten up the screws, then we're all good.
Then I put my foot, my foot to the ground, yeah we're moving yeah we're laughing, we'll make it to your place tonight.
I take my time in a race.
Oh and I, I take my time in a race.
Yeah I, I take my time in a race.
Oh and I, I take my time in a race.
Summer heat, it's 30 degrees, stuck to the seat, and I'm holding up traffic.
Summer heat, it's 35 degrees stuck to the seat, now I'm stuck in the traffic.
Summer heat, it's 39 degrees, stuck to the seat, and I'm holding up traffic.
Summer heat, it's 40 degrees, stuck to the seat, and now I over heat.
Summer heat, it's 45 degrees, stuck to the seat, and now I over heat.
Summer heat, it's 49 degrees, stuck to the seat, and now I over heat.
