The night slips a rose on this bed of mine
The morning comes and blows it all away
A pedal flies so far in it's short time
And shares all the love I can not say
Might she catch my flower in the bright sun
One that illuminates her whole smile
Doesn't she know she is the only one
That loves pedals would travel a whole mile
The smell of spring crashes and burns so near
As the wind blows her pedals down to me
They envelope me in their burning sear
My eyes are closed, but I can not see
Her love hath blinded me with flower's care
I turn to look up and she's not there
