First off, it was me
Sometimes when in denial, it's a lot that you don't see
I had a lack of ambition and drive
Truthfully, I probably would've chose the other guy over me
I played video games and sat in front of a TV screen
While taking time for granted with you was so obscene
I battled with my insecurities

Now I understand how you checked out
I never really grasped the concept of what love was about
I had anger issues that hindered our conversations
Lacking a basic understanding of love and communication
I'm just disappointed in all the time that we wasted
