She came down from the Camino with new spirit in her heart
Found the space and time there to make a new start
Spent her first winter in the mountains to the north
Met her first spring there watching the river rise and fall
She stayed out of the city when the virus first spread
Mindful meditation helped her keep a clear head
Tell me does it make much sense to you
Go back and do things like we used to do
What might we weave from these broken tattered threads
What new ideas might flick the switch inside our heads
We survived it somehow if our luck holds we're ready to change
We're not going back to those days there no more same old same
Just give us one chance one nod one shove one wink
We've been holding back so long now we're ready to make the leap.
Tell me does it make much sense to you
Go back and do things we use to do
What might we weave from these broken tattered threads
What new ideas might flick the switch inside our heads
We survived this somehow if our luck holds we're ready to change
We're not going back to those days there no more same old same
Just give us one chance one nod one shove one wink
We've been holding back so long now we're ready to make the leap.
