Karen and Sandy
Never got angry
Two sisters who had
Thankful a'plenty
But holidays come... with things to be done
Sandy and Karen
Started preparing
Thanksgiving dinner
But part of the planning
Was all of the sides... that peacefully reside
Karen and Sandy
Were not too demanding
One liked stuffing
And one liked dressing
And one was quite right... and one was obviously wrong
Karen told Sandy
With great understanding
The real deal on turkey
Was with every helping
Goes a spoonful of stuffing... but never of dressing
And Sandy told Karen
To stop such declaring
Stuffing is nothing
But dressing is everything
And to tell you the truth, girl your breadcrumbs won't do
Sandy, don't put nothing on your plate that looks like what the turkey once ate
Karen, don't take pride in something from the bird's backside
And the holiday dinner didn't have any winners except the ones who loved a good pumpkin pie
Sandy told Karen
Her patience was wearing
Stuffing's just fluff
But dressing is caring
So maybe you could just make the gravy instead this year
Karen told Sandy
You can't bring that dressing
And Sandy said Karen,
Your stuffing's no blessing
But Thanksgiving's all about loving everyone who loves you even though they know you're so very wrong
Karen, don't make them eat a dry side that tastes like feet, oh no...
Sandy, dressing's poison, don't believe me ask anyone
And the two sisters fussing about dressing and stuffing knew they had to save the holiday supping... somehow
So Karen and Sandy
Stopped getting hangry
They settled on a side
To please the whole family
So Sandy brings biscuits
And Karen brings rolls
And everyone tucks in
Because everyone knows
Traditions are made... by such legendary sisters
Like Karen and Sandy
Feeding their families
Thanksgiving dinner
No matter how wrong
Dressing might be... you know stuffing's the key...
