Birdsong glowing fire sky
The beginning of another life
Lightening flat, translucent night
Kingfisher blue
Now, a waxing gibbous moon gives birth
To melodies I've never heard
Silver skinned and halo bright
They weave and entwine
Over lowland where small streams
Reflect the night indigo deep
Their music illuminating my thoughts
Circling galaxies
Rain falls softly at midnight
At daybreak a blackbird
Glides from the white mist
As uncaught my first thought
Unwinds its way westwards
To fly with the new dawn
Sun mesmerised, alive
Horizon clear
My mind glides on boundless air
Wide winged, soaring...
The woodland waits
The day vibrates with song
And the promise of a promise made to me
Wild flowers and tall grass
The bridge we cross all pass from view
As we walk to the verge
Of a liminal world
Breeze blowing, trees swaying
Scene set, deep breath
Birdsong glowing fire sky
The beginning of another life
