I, as the solitary songless songster, meet myself with tragedy and scorn
For I know nothing but the scourge of unrequited affection and lucid dreams
Oh, unattainable Kaguya, permit me to heal your unseen wounds
Will you bear my modest ring as I, all of your mental afflictions
To stain my eyes with a pathetic creature
Would do nothing more than deflower my sight
Never will this dethroned paragon of lunacy
Depend on lower life for the sake of happiness
Glaring more into your words of desperation
It seems the ties that keep you upon the earth
Are calling to the Sanzu's body with brittleness
Have the gods truly neglected you so?
Free me from the unending torment and anguish none others share
Whether it be with animating my visions or my soul's abscission
How piteous can this child be?
To ask for solace from agony
Not to the Buddha does he beseech
Yet to I, within the same tree
I offer you a chance to grant your whim
Through either death or my satisfaction
Should you obtain the swallow's cowry treasure
My hand is unreluctantly yours for eternity
What I communicate with you today
Is of course, not a mindless chore
Nothing more than peril awaits come failure
No matter the outcome, you'll never suffer anymore
A makeshift masterpiece of an entrail mound was revealed
The bard's emptiness in his heart laid before me personified
Yet, not a shred of sympathy was spared for the suitor
A crimson painted letter managed to mockingly utter out
"Long live the exiled princess"
