Tito's Camel/ Tito's Reprise Video (MV)

Iman - Tito's Camel/ Tito's Reprise Lyrics

She came before me, a specter in the night
A frantic moment, I accepted my terminal plight

And so she pulled me to her altar of remorse
A death ship sailing a true and steady course

So now I beseech her and I kneel before her granting hand
A fallen soldier on blood-soaked and barren sand

Granules filters downward - I catch them one by one
But there is always one more, through this course my time has run

So our hero, Tito, escapes from the desert fortress
On the back of the Sultan's favorite camel
After wandering the desert for 40 days and 40 Arabian nights
Hot, cold, tired, thirsty and alone
Finally our hero finds himself in the middle of a lush and vast Bedouin oasis
Drawing stares of disbelief of the thing they've never seen before
Finally the tribesman speak
Why would a Mexican be riding a camel?
Why would he ever feel the need
Why would a Mexican be riding a camel in their desert?
Why? Why indeed?
To be free

After resting a while and eating, our hero tells the tale of his capture to his host
It seems he met the Sultan's daughter, Aeriel, in Abudabe
Or maybe it was just somewhere that was close
Upon hearing of his daughter's engagement to this man the Sultan did
What only the Sultan can
He imprisoned our hero Tito, he locked him up and threw him away
He locked up our hero, Tito, almost three months to this very day
So if you ask a Mexican why he rides a camel in this desert
He'll just tell you it's to be free
