Oh little Banjo not a peep he made
As a pup he was all cuddles and shade
But now he's an elder with a license to scold
His bark's turned spicy and his manner quite bold!
He used to frolic with glee and zest
Now he'd rather just sit and rest
But dare to disturb his precious nap
He'll give you a piece of his grumpy yap!
Banjo the grumpy old dog with flare
Snarling at sisters with hardly a care
His back legs ache but his spirit's tough
"Get off my lawn!" he barks rough and gruff
Those sisters try to nudge and play
Banjo's response? "No way not today!"
He's king of his corner don't dare intrude
Old age hasn't softened his sassy mood
If looks could growl well Banjo's might
With a side-eye glare that could give a fright
But deep down he's sweet just covered in gruff
A softie inside though he acts so tough
Banjo the grumpy old dog with flare
Snarling at sisters with hardly a care
His back legs ache but his spirit's tough
"Get off my lawn!" he barks rough and gruff
But let's not forget he's wise and sweet
Under that growl a heart beats neat
He might be grumpy but we all know
It's just a show for Banjo's glow
Banjo the grumpy old dog with flare
Snarling at sisters with hardly a care
His back legs ache but his spirit's tough
"Get off my lawn!" he barks rough and gruff
Here's to Banjo our cranky old friend
His bark's worse than his bite in the end
From quiet pup to a dog with sass
Banjo's the boss in his own masterclass!
