Angel
I awoke from the street into your garden
Your hair is worn with vines, you are the seedsman
Garden of your charms
Past the rosy arch
You were golden in the light you are the weaver
With roses flowering beneath you are the keeper
The apples were so sweet,
I fell asleep beneath your trees
And I walked into your valley, and I wanted to stay there for awhile,
Love you in your garden, and dig for the river to run my way
I awoke in the vines that you were tiding
A child throwing back his head he laughs behind me
Do I try to stay? Leave my life beyond the gate
I would tell them all exactly where I have gone
But dancing Pan has me under his thumb
Climb to the top of your tree, angel in the green
