I saw his face ripple slowly in a cup of tea
We locked eyes in an empty screen
The window washer left me staring at him in the street

I went out to the countryside and bathed in blues and greens

A nameless wave rose and fell and slunk back into the sea

I see myself in all these things I know he's out here too
