How does one die when the ghosts are all gone?
Hollow the earth we are after the dawn
Here we will reap
Something deeper than darkness
The end of the road
Here we will learn
A land ousting its language
Leaves nothing to sow
We'll wander in time hoping for hauntings
But, nothing is there
Spirit can't creep through this silence
As we drift out of air
Walk as a body, a space on its own
Walk as a body aware of only its bones
I am no longer able to hope
Land of the once dead that lost souls
I can't go forward or backward
I can just go
I can't sink in or stay
I can just float
I can't think how or why
I am unknown
Land of the once dead that lost soul
I can just go
How does one live when the ghosts are all gone
Hollow the earth we are after the dawn
Here we will feel
The force of departure from the thoughts that make homes
Here we will know
The free motions of the tyrants
Pulling us out of control
When we speak of love it's just
Dust in the wind
Bloodless and bane
Nothing can touch us beneath
Our defense-coated skin
Muscle on shame
Walk as a body freed of a name
Walk as a body with no shape to claim
I am no longer able to hope
Land of the once dead that lost souls
I can't go forward or backward
I can just go
I can't sink in or stay
I can just float
I can't think how or why
I am unknown
Land of the once dead that lost soul
I can just go
